Perhaps sweeter come isn’t the be-all-and-end-all. Still, there’s room for balance in this life. Serve ham the traditional way, with a pineapple slice. If you’re boozing, try daiquiris, sexier anyway, rather than beer. And don’t skip pudding – just not the cheese.
